About the Physician:
- Michael Benson, M.D., F.A.C.O.G. has been a Board Certified OB-GYN since 1988, and practices at both our Deerfield and Lake Villa office locations. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Northwestern University, where he completed his medical residency. Dr. Benson is a journal peer reviewer for Obstetrics and Gynecology (the world’s largest OB-GYN specialty medical journal) and a widely published author. He has written four books on birth control and pregnancy and has published numerous papers on amniotic fluid embolism. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, a member of the Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics (APGO) and won the CIBA Community Service Award from Northwestern Medical School. Dr. Benson has affiliations with Advocate Condell Medical Center and NorthShore University HealthSystem (Highland Park Hospital).
