About the Physician:
M. Susan Scanlon, M.D., N.C.M.P., F.A.C.O.G. has been practicing gynecology since 1996. She is a graduate of Loyola Stritch School of Medicine and received her undergraduate degree from Boston College. She conducted her residency at University of Southern California/Los Angeles County and at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center, where she served as Chief Administrative Resident. Dr. Scanlon is also a Certified Menopause Practitioner (N.C.M.P.) by the North American Menopause Society (NAMS) and a Certified Davinci Robotic Surgeon by Intuitive Surgical. She has received numerous honors including Phi Beta Kappa, Magna Cum Laude, and has been named a Top New Doctor in Integrated Care by Chicago Magazine.
Dr. Mary Susan Scanlon provides gynecological care to women during all stages of life from adolescence to post menopause. She is a very experienced surgeon specializing in minimally invasive surgery and advanced laparoscopic surgery including da Vinci Robotic hysterectomy, total laparoscopic hysterectomy, laparoscopic treatment of pelvic endometriosis and endometrial ablation.
Dr. Scanlon is Board Certified and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Scanlon lectures frequently at area hospitals and other community locations on topics including menopause management, bioidentical hormones, hysterectomy options and alternatives, contraceptive options and urinary incontinence.

- Dr. Susan Scanlon is a NAMS Certified Menopause Practitioner specializing in perimenopause, menopause management and bioidentical hormones. She also has a special interest in adolescent gynecology, helping young patients with conditions such as menstrual irregularities, PMS, painful cramps and endometriosis, while educating them to appreciate the value and impact of their health choices.
