About the Nurse Practitioner:
  • Linda Given Welch, C.N.M., M.S. – a Certified Nurse-Midwife since 1993 – practices in our Evanston and Glenview offices and is affiliated with NorthShore University HealthSystem (Evanston, Skokie and Glenbrook Hospitals). She completed her Nurse-Midwifery Training at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1992. Linda graduated from Rush University with a Masters of Science in Maternal Child Nursing. There, she was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau, the international nursing honor society. Linda has served as clinical instructor at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and also as an adjunct clinical instructor of maternal child nursing at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Among the services that Linda provides for her patients includes adolescent gynecology and support for natural childbirth. Linda is also certified in the insertion and removal of contraceptive implants known as LARC (Long-Acting Reversible Contraception) to reduce unintended pregnancies.
